1. Principles

On Beebit every seller ships from their own country, with the carrier of their choice; Beebit checks that every shipment has a tracking number and pays the commission only once the order has been delivered.

  • You ship. Each shop ships from the country where it operates. Beebit does not handle warehousing or labels.
  • Tracking is mandatory. Every order needs a carrier and a tracking number. Without them the order is not considered shipped.
  • Market. European Union and Switzerland. Shipments between different countries, in particular between Switzerland and the EU, are international and require customs documents (section 4).
  • Payment. The customer pays Beebit in Bitcoin. Your commission is released when the order is delivered (section 5); after that you can request a withdrawal.

2. Zones, carriers and rates

In the seller panel, create your own carrier with the shipping zones you sell to, so the customer sees the real cost of your shipping in the cart.

Rule: every seller sets the shipping price. You must define a rate for each zone you want to sell to. If a zone has no rate, customers in that zone cannot buy your products. Free shipping is allowed, but it must be set explicitly to €0.

Zone Example What you need
Domestic Shipping within the seller's own country (e.g. Germany → Germany, Switzerland → Switzerland) Carrier label
European Union From one EU country to another (e.g. France → Austria) Carrier label
Switzerland ↔ EU From Switzerland to an EU country or vice versa (e.g. Switzerland → Germany, Italy → Switzerland) Label + customs declaration (section 4)

How to set it up

  1. In the seller panel, open the section for carriers or shipping and create your carrier (name, indicative delivery times).
  2. Set the rates per zone: a fixed price, or by weight or by price range.
  3. Assign the carrier to your products.
  4. Place a test order to each zone and check the cost shown in the cart.

Carriers. You can use any carrier you like: your country's postal service or an international carrier (for example Swiss Post, Deutsche Post/DHL, La Poste/Colissimo, Poste Italiane, GLS, DPD, UPS, FedEx). What matters is that it provides a tracking number and covers the zones you sell to.

Free shipping. If you offer it, include the cost in the product price: Beebit does not reimburse it.

3. Mandatory tracking

After shipping, enter the carrier and tracking number on the "Le mie spedizioni" (My shipments) page: the order changes to Shipped and the customer receives the tracking link.

  1. Log in to the site as a seller and open "Il mio account" (My account) → "Le mie spedizioni (tracking)". Alternatively go directly to https://beebit.ch/module/beebittracking/seller.
  2. You will see the list of paid orders from the last 120 days that contain your products.
  3. On the order row choose the carrier, type the tracking number (at least 6 characters) and click "Salva e segna spedito" (Save and mark as shipped).
  4. A green confirmation message appears. If you made a mistake, correct the number and click "Aggiorna" (Update).

What happens next. The order becomes "Shipped", the customer receives the email with the tracking and sees the carrier and link in the order details.

Rules

  • Enter the tracking only once the parcel has been handed over to the carrier.
  • Do not mark an order as shipped from the panel without tracking: Beebit receives a warning and may ask you for explanations.
  • The tracking also serves as proof of shipment in case of a dispute.

4. Customs between Switzerland and the EU

Every parcel between Switzerland and the EU (in both directions) goes through customs: you prepare the declaration, together with your carrier. Shipments between two EU countries do not require customs.

  • Documents. Customs declaration (CN22 for light, low-value shipments, CN23 for the others) and commercial invoice. For Switzerland, state the country of origin of each item and, if you have one, your EORI number.
  • Import VAT. In Switzerland it is 8.1% and is not collected if the amount is below CHF 5. For shipments to the EU, the VAT of the destination country applies.
  • EU duty on small parcels. From 1 July 2026 the EU applies a flat customs duty of €3 on parcels under €150 coming from non-EU countries, until 2028. Sources disagree on how it is counted (per item or per tariff category): ask your carrier to confirm.
  • Additional costs. Swiss Post also mentions a handling fee of €2 per parcel from 1 November 2026. Ask your carrier who pays it.

Who pays duties and VAT. The customer pays them on delivery, unless you choose to include them in the price (DDP). State it clearly in the product description so the customer knows what to expect.

Indicative information, updated on 23 October 2026. Customs rules change: always check with your carrier or with the customs authorities.

5. Delivery and commission payout

Your commission is released when the order is marked Delivered: either the customer confirms it, or 14 days pass after the tracking was entered with no dispute.

  1. The customer pays the order to Beebit. The commission stays pending.
  2. You ship and enter the tracking: the order changes to Shipped.
  3. In the order details the customer clicks "Ho ricevuto l'ordine" (I received my order) or reports a problem.
  4. If the customer does nothing, 14 days after the tracking the order automatically changes to Delivered.
  5. The Delivered status releases the commission: from that moment you can request a withdrawal, via BTC Pay Server.

If the customer reports a problem. The automatic countdown stops and Beebit contacts you. The commission stays pending until Beebit closes the dispute. The tracking proves the shipment; reply quickly to Beebit's requests.

Shipments between Switzerland and the EU. Customs clearance can take a long time: tell Beebit if a parcel is delayed by customs, so that a dispute does not start by mistake.

Refunds. If an order is refunded, the customer receives the exact amount in sats that was paid, regardless of the Bitcoin price. The related commission is cancelled.

6. Returns and FAQ

The customer has 14 days to return an item and pays the return shipping; you refund the order once you have received the parcel.
